Our team is led by visionary students, who fosters a culture of innovation and forward-thinking. Together, we embody the spirit of exploration, collaboration, and a commitment to boldly pushing the boundaries of our work.
Meet Enzo,
the founder
Enzo Porto was born in Petrópolis, RJ, Brazil; in 2006. His love for the ocean began from a young age, when his parents would take him to the beach every weekend as a break from the every day life in the mountains of Rio. Enzo’s passion for politics and advocacy would begin in 2017, when he accepted by his school to participate in the TEDxKids event taking place that year. Out of all the topics, Enzo decided to talk about how the Korean wars impacted current geopolitical affairs between the United States and North Korea (which by itself should have been an obvious indication of how much of a politics nerd he would become not much later in life). In 2021, he joined the Sea Beyond project, winning first place and speaking at the UN Ocean Conference in 2022. Inspired, he founded Oceanica, an NGO allowing students worldwide to create ocean protection projects, regardless of thier background. So, from beach weekends to global advocacy, Enzo's making waves for the ocean! 🌊
